Buoyant imitation maize soft enough to use on your hook or hair rig. Can be used popped up on its own, or in conjunction with real maize to produce a critically balanced hook bait. Resisting the attention of nuisance species including crayfish. Used by many of the UK’s top carp and specialist anglers. A new British record bream of 19lb 10oz was caught on popup maize in March 2005.
Individual grains may vary in buoyancy, but as a general guide: one grain will pop up a size 8 carp hook.
